Corvette CX.R VGT : Chevrolet has unveiled the Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo, a radical racing concept designed exclusively for Gran Turismo 7. Building on the earlier Corvette CX project, the CX.R VGT represents a futuristic vision of GT racing, blending extreme performance, aerodynamics, and hybrid technology into a virtual-only package.
For over 25 years, Chevrolet has developed a close synergy between its road-going models and motorsport programs, and the CX.R VGT continues that legacy in the gaming world.
Aerodynamic Design for Track Dominance
The CX.R VGT is engineered around pure racing performance. Compared to the previous CX concept, it features a lower stance and enhanced aerodynamic elements designed to maximize downforce and cornering stability. Its lightweight construction ensures rapid responses and agility expected from a race-bred hypercar.

Focused and Functional Interior
Inside the cockpit, the design emphasizes function over comfort. The dashboard is crafted from exposed carbon fibre for weight reduction, while the racing seats use suede inserts for better grip under high-speed driving. Extra headrest and shoulder padding has been integrated to keep drivers secure during intense G-forces on track.

Hybrid Powertrain with a High-Revving V8
At the heart of the CX.R VGT lies an advanced hybrid system. Power comes from a mid-mounted 2.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that produces 900hp and screams up to 15,000rpm.
This is paired with three electric motors—two powering the front wheels and one integrated within the 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Combined, the system generates an astonishing 1,973hp, placing the CX.R VGT firmly in hypercar territory. The V8 engine also runs on renewable e-fuel, highlighting Chevrolet’s focus on sustainable performance.
